Actually, the Padma awards were announced on Thursday (25 January) the day French President Emmanuel Macron visited India. He reached Jaipur airport on the first day of his two-day visit to India, where he was given a warm welcome. French President Macron this year Republic Day Was present in the parade ceremony as the chief guest.
These people of France will be honored
This time, the people from France who have received this honor include 100-year-old yoga guru Charlotte Chopin and yoga expert and Ayurveda doctor Kiran Vyas (79). Apart from this, Padma honors have also been announced for Pierre Sylvain Filiojat (87) and Fred Negritte. Philosophers are Sanskrit scholars dedicated to enhancing the study of Indian culture. Fred Negrit is an Indologist who promotes awareness of Indian culture.
This year in 2024, 132 people are being honored with the Padma Award. Of these, 5 people will be honored with Padma Vibhushan, 17 with Padma Bhushan and 110 with Padma Shri award.
Padma awards posthumously to 9 people
This time 9 people are being given the Padma Award posthumously. This time, among the people to whom the Government of India is giving the Padma Award posthumously, Bindeshwar Pathak of Bihar, the founder of Sulabh International, is also being honored with the Padma Vibhushan posthumously.
